In Southeast Asia, this delicious dessert is very popular and is sold in the streets, markets and can also be tasted in taverns or restaurants. In Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, it is called Cendol or Chendol, in Burma, Mount Let Saung မု န့ ် လက် ဆောင်း, in Thailand, Lod or Lot Chong ลอดช่อง, in Cambodia, Bong'aem Lot បង្អែម ល ត, in Laos, Khao Lot Song and in Vietnam, chè Bánh Lọt. Except for the word Cendol / Chendol from the Javanese, Sundanese and Indonesian word, Jendol (bump / lumpy / bulge, because of the texture of the banh lot), all other names mean roughly the same thing: "to pass through holes ”because of the long shape of the ingredients, obtained by passing the flour through a sieve.

Very good dessert but which takes the time to prepare. Yet Onici's kit helps you achieve dessert in just a few minutes.

Step 1:

The day before, wash the peeled and shelled mung beans thoroughly until the water is clear and transparent.
Soak in cold water overnight. (Some say it only takes two or three hours of soaking. But the cooking will take longer!)
2nd step:

D-day: Rinse the mung beans and drain. Cook them over medium heat for 20-25 minutes in a small saucepan with 1.5 cm of water above the level of the beans. Stir from time to time.
At the end of cooking, take a mung bean grain and crush it to test its doneness. If the grain easily crumbles into a puree, the beans are cooked. Drain them and reduce them to a puree with the vanilla, sugar and salt either in a blender or by mashing them with a fork in a bowl. To book.
Step 3:

In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil, add all the other ingredients contained in the kit, from the largest to the smallest, stirring well.

Cook the ingredients completely, then drain and put in cold water to cool.

Step 4: Prepare the coconut milk topping

Bring the water to a boil and pour in the coconut milk powder. 1 sachet corresponds to 100ml of water.

Step 5: Assimilate your dessert

Put the ingredients in a glass. For a pretty presentation, pour the ingredients in layers of color.
Pour 1 or 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup and coat with coconut milk to taste.
Before tasting, mix everything well
