Maggeolli is Korean rice wine made by fermenting a mixture of boiled rice, wheat and water. It is milky white in color and slightly sweet. Jinro Makgeolli is a traditional Korean rice wine made from 100% Korean rice. At the bottom of the bottle there is always some sedimentation, you have to mix everything before drinking it.
Although the name says "rice wine", makgeolli is closer to beer. Friendly sweet alcohol to use as an aperitif.
